SEA Studies Symposium 2016 – Sponsorship & Exhibition Opportunities

“Human and Environmental Welfare in Southeast Asia”

14 – 16 April 2016
at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford

The Southeast Asian Studies Symposium is the world’s largest and most influential conference on Southeast Asia. Organised by Project Southeast Asia at the University of Oxford, it is focused on presenting cutting-edge research and contributing solutions to Southeast Asia’s most pressing issues. It engages political, business, academic, NGO, and other leaders of society in collaborative efforts to shape global, Southeast Asian, and industry agendas.  This intellectually rigorous, highly interactive meeting works to define challenges, solutions and actions, always in the spirit of the collegial and collaborative spirit of Southeast Asia citizenship.

The Symposium is an intelligent, research-driven, impartial platform that transforms dialogue into insights, insights into agendas, and agendas into action. The rapid success of the Symposium shows there are few issues that cannot be adequately progressed by convening the most relevant actors from all sectors – business, government and civil society – in a high-level, informed, and informal environment of trust.

The Symposium returns to Oxford from 14-16 April 2016 at the new, state of the art Andrew Wiles Building of the Mathematical Institute, with the theme of “Human and Environmental Welfare in Southeast Asia”.

Fora: Focus on Results

The Southeast Asian Studies Symposium 2016 includes a range of specialised fora, convened with a focus on addressing specific problems facing Southeast Asia. Recognising both the specialised nature of the problem  and the need for multi-sectoral participation, each forum brings together political, business, academic, NGO, and other leaders of society in a collaborative effort to put together a road-map for addressing the issue.

The 2016 Symposium includes the following fora and their themes:

Why Support the Symposium?

As the premier Southeast Asian studies conference, the Southeast Asian Studies Symposium provides an ideal venue for exposure to the best academic practitioners from around the world and for learning about the latest research on important issues facing Southeast Asia. The Symposium also provides a platform for networking and building relationships between academic, political, business, and civil society leaders of Southeast Asia. Your sponsorship also helps enable young and emerging scholars, regardless of background, to attend the Symposium and present their research.

Sponsors, supporters, and exhibitors are critical to the operational success of the 2016 Symposium. We are now offering a limited number of opportunities for sponsorship at a variety of levels and events. Securing these opportunities early will gain your organisation increased exposure in the Symposium booklet, the Symposium website and social media outlets, and at the Symposium’s events. Sponsorship and supporter investment helps to sustain and further grow the Symposium while bringing high-profile attention and recognition to each sponsor organisation.

All sponsorship and exhibition opportunities can be tailored for custom branding solutions to meet your organisation’s needs. Opportunities can be packaged with year-round or multiple-year Symposium sponsorship and advertising that creates a full-service plan for the greatest impact with your target audience.

Project Southeast Asia warmly invites further discussions with all those who share our vision and wish to join us in our efforts to contribute solutions to the most pressing issues facing Southeast Asia today.
