Call for Panels and Papers now closed – thanks for the overwhelming response!

The Call for Panels and Papers for the 7th Southeast Asian Studies Symposium is now closed. Thank you for the overwhelming response – we received nearly 300 proposals for panels and papers! Successful applicants will be informed as soon as we process all the proposals (ideally by 1 November, but we did not anticipate so many proposals, so we may take a little longer than expected).

The Call for Panels and Papers for the 7th Southeast Asian Studies Symposium is now open.

The theme for the 7th Symposium is “What is Southeast Asia? Exploring Uniqueness and Diversity”, and the Symposium is being organised in collaboration with the School of Environmental Science, Universitas Indonesia, and the Indonesian Environmental Science Association. We invite all who are passionate about Southeast Asia to join us in Jakarta.

Submissions on all topics related to Southeast Asia are welcome. Please visit the Call for Panels and Papers for more information. The deadline for submissions is 15 October 2017.

7th SEA Studies Symposium 2018 in Jakarta!

We are pleased to announce that the 7th Southeast Asian Studies Symposium will be held at the beautiful and modern Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) Tower, part of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, in Jakarta, Indonesia, from 22 to 24 March 2018.

The theme for the 7th Symposium is “What is Southeast Asia?
