UK Singapore Students’ Council

Formed in August 1998, The United Kingdom-Singapore Students’ Council (UKSSC) is an independent, student-led umbrella organisation that aims to create a bona fide Singapore Student community across the United Kingdom by being a support network for both the leaders of the various Singaporean student organisations across the UK, as well as for the average Singaporean student. It represents 36 Partner Societies, with 27 university-based student associations and nine affiliated student organisations.

The UKSSC provides opportunities for the Singaporean Student community in UK to network through its Regional Leader Meetings and the UKSSC Dinner and Dance. It also coordinates Pre-University talks in various pre-university institutions in Singapore aimed at raising student aspirations and awareness of options available for a UK university education. The UKSSC is also the organiser of Singaporeans in Conversation, or SGin(C), an intimate dialogue session with influential Singaporean leaders, and attended by overseas Singaporean students mainly studying in the UK.

UKSSC’s website and contact details of the Exco can be found at http://www.ukssc.org.
