The 4th Annual Southeast Asian Studies Symposium was held on 20 – 24 March 2015 and it was a huge success.  Thank you to all participants for making the Southeast Asian Studies Symposium 2015 such an amazing event. Special thanks to our hosts, Sunway University and the Jeffrey Cheah Institute on Southeast Asia, for all their hard work and for being such wonderful hosts.

Some brief statistics:

– over 700 participants from over 30 countries attended all the session, lectures, and events-in-conjunction
– The Symposium was opened by DYMM Sultan Nazrin Shah of Perak, and 517 people attended the opening
– 100 papers in 27 academic roundtables
– 16 roundtables and 1 workshop involving politicians, diplomats, NGOs, business leaders, and academics
– by far the largest annual Southeast Asian Studies conference in the world

Please check back over the next week for photographs and updates. We look forward to seeing all of you at future Project Southeast Asia events!
